CarDepreciation.org is an independent calculator for the real cost of car ownership. Depreciation is invisible until you sell — and by then, it's too late to do anything about it. We built this tool to make that number visible before you buy, every time.
Every make, every model, every major market. No dealer portal, no lead-gen form, no "get your free quote" pop-up. Just the depreciation rate, the curve, and the math behind it.
What we stand for

Independent
We don't take money from dealers, OEMs, or auto lenders. No listing fees, no sponsored models, no affiliate ranking on our guides.
Transparent
Every formula is documented on the methodology page. Every data source is named. Every curve update is versioned so you can see what changed.
Useful
Depreciation is the single largest cost of owning a car. Our job is to make that cost legible — in seconds, for free, without an email wall.
How we make money
Plainly: we don't, yet. The site is free, ad-free, and login-free. If we ever monetize, it will be through something clearly disclosed at the top of every page — not through opaque affiliate rankings on guide pages or sponsored depreciation curves.
The closest we'll ever get to advertising is recommending you use our calculator before you sign a lease or trade-in paperwork. That's the pitch.
